On Saturday 7th June, I attened an all day training session run by Viva! (http://www.viva.org.uk/) in Birmingham entitled ‘How to become a school speaker for Viva!’. I enlisted on this workshop as I a) want to do some volunteering for Viva and other charities in this field and b) I feel it always helps to learn more about different ways of training.
It was a very inspiring and interesting day, where I learned a lot and met a variety of really intersting people. In particular, a lot of the training was run by the founder of Viva!, Juliet Gellatley, who clearly is very passionate about her work, but also is incredibly well informed and brilliant at communicating both her passion and her knowledge. …..
